Anyone know of any good ones? Something that will work on a thumbdrive to lock/encrypt single files of folders?

    TrueCrypt requires Admin privileges.

A truly portable implementation is hard to come by from what I've seen. There's the >IronKey<, but shits expensive.

Yeah, I found a program called Toucan on portableapps.com and it works with any drive but, it is not just for encryption or locking files. I was wanting to compare it to some others, but have been unable to find any.

So you can't put the installation program on a flash disk?

you can, but you might not be able (or want) to install it on any machine you connect your flash drive to.
