Before I start. I want everyone to know that I've read the step by step for my router and have previously forwarded my ports on another computer.

I actually think that might be the problem though. I was using my brothers old computer for a short time and forwarded the ports so I could allow incoming connections, and speed up my torrents. I set up a static ip and was successful.

Since then, I got a new computer and attempted to do the same. When I tried to plug in my new static ip address I got a message saying that there was another computer with the same ip address on this network.

I'm pretty lost at this point. I tried plugging in the default settings and still not able to connect to the internet.

    Can anyone help?
