Anyone know any places in So Cal. where you can get mods or upgrades for a porsche GT2?
Why would you want mods for a GT2? Are you a hardcore SCCA racer or something?
no...just to make it faster...
Oh, OK... I just figured that for everyday driving and occaisional racing a GT2 should be fast enough
In order to receive advice from this forum you have to post pics of your car
Do you even take it to the track?
Sorry for the slow response.....Im a chef so im not home a lot.um.... I dont want to modify it too much..maybe change the US chip to the euro chip. I dont want to do anythinf to the body at all. But yeah the GT2 alone and stock is powerfull enough. I had fun the other day when i came up on a Boxer S. They're not too bad. But he probably though i was a single turbo so he guned it and took off ..that is until I caught up real quick and kept going.....that is untill he saw GT2 on the back he realized. ha ....but anyways.....um...I was actually gonna get a 911 TT x50.....similar to this http://homepage.mac.com/fredcourtot/PhotoAlbum7.html
But over all in performance the GT2 had it... So i went down to the dealer in Pasadena and got one new. I figure if im gonna spend this money, why not get one new and not worry about it having problems?.. As i was looking at the one topic "How fast have you ever gone" or something like that.....I was suprised madmontero, my brother, didnt mention going 206 to Bakersfield in the desert. it only took about 17 sec to get there. It drove amazing at that speed. Quiet and smooth. I only drove that fast for about 5 sec then slowed quickly back down to 90. A lot of fun. Im soon gonna get video of kills and waht not. Just fooling around. Sorry for the story....if you wanna here more about it..ill be happy to tell....ohh...about the pics....Ill get it em here as soon as i have time..... Thanx
Nigga plz....why do you say its a prank?
cause youre a chef? how much do chefs make in soCal?
Well, head chefs of high-class restaurants or other expensive establishments (i.e. country clubs) can make quite a large amount of money. That being said, I didn't believe this guy from the start. And the only way to prove it is to provide some pics.
lets face it, theres like 50 or maybe 100 chefs in the us who make enough money to aford a gt2.
ergo i call :BS:
whether it is fake or not, i am happy seeing pictures of this car
well Fred Courtot (who's webpage that was linked to) works for Qualsys.com
hmmmm -- "I don't have pictures of my car, but here's one that looks like it" -- sound familiar?
Fred has great taste in cars -- prior to his X50TT, he had one of the first Dinan S2 M5s.
w/e guys...like i said...i will get pics here soon.....Im not the story teller.. some can BS well and pull off any lie.....I just told you what happened that day with the other porsche..sorry it wasnt believable...but anywayz.....back to the subject....do you know of any other places that will do light or heavy engine mods for a GT2?...thnxs
I'm gonna ask you again, do you even take it to the track?
i'm going to not be an ass and try and be helpful
not many people here can even think of affording a GT2, but there are probably a few hundred of you out there in the states. you may want to try looking at this board:
to your car, i look forward to pics!
come on people....you make it sounds like buying or owning a GT2 is like owning an F50. more people have modenas which cost well more than a GT2. ...thnxs for the info.
Those people are also wealthy and don't get reputations for being asshats online. You will need to place a penny on top of a $100 bill on the porsche and in front of it for us to believe you.
So You Don't Take Your Gt2 To The Track?
No, I dont have time to take it to the track. I have enough fun on highways and freeways. Thnxs a lot for the info by the way. Ill check into it.
Please, for the love of god, take it to the track, don't just waste it going fast on a freeway or highway, thats seriously very, VERY retarted. And if you're never going to the track, don't ever mod it, please, you're just going to ruin it. If you buy something to mod that you have no intention of bringing it to the track, you may as well get a fucking Civic. Please, reconsider.
Asshat.....I'll have to remember that one.
just curious, if you are not going to track it why did you get a gt2 versus a TT w/ X50? The TT is a much more suited for "highways and freeways" and city driving. The GT2 was built for the track, and as such is not a very good "normal" driver.
Isn't is obvious?? Poser factor.
