I've got a local friend with an 83.5 Porsche 944. He's got 15inch rims on his car stock right now. He's wondering if 16's or 17's will fit cleanly without scraping and without any pulling of the fenders or anything?

    Does anyone know?

And also, The same guy has a set of Brand new 10x5inch ATS wheels for Mini coopers. He's had them for about 17yrs now and wants to get rid of them now. If you know anyone looking for some, let me know.

    Thanks

I would imagine the wheel for the Porsche would be 5x130 for a lug pattern. I think his best bet would be to talk to other Porsche owners. . . :hs:

Early 944s like that can't take any of the later Porsche wheels. Checkout www.rennlist.org and they can give you a lot more details.

What's the bolt pattern for earlier porsche's like that? I assumed it would be 5x130 like the newer ones.

EDIT: Here's some info i found:

    Year/Model
    944, 1982 to 1986 1982/83

    Original Tire Size
    Front /Rear : 185/70 R15 / 215/60 R15
    Wheel Size
    7 J x 15

    Backspacing mm / inch
    125mm/4.92

    Offset mm / inch
    23.3mm/0.92"

I never found the offset, but I can just ask the guy. Looks like 5lug are 5x130 and 4 lug are 4 x 108.
