So, I was reading the side of my microwave popcorn box and it says that per serving (bowl) there are only 110 calories inclusive of the butter! So if you were to just buy popcorn kernels and pop em, it would be an extreme low calorie meal?

I was always under the impression popcorn was very fattening, like crisps or something.

yeah, if you just get the normal kernals its has really low calories.... i have an air popper, so you can make it without any butter and have a 30 cal snack, and it fills up a pretty big bowl
