pontiac solstice and LSX engines

    uh, can you put an LSx into a solstice easily? This thought occured to me when i saw a black solstice driving around campus the other day and i think i like them :o.

    there is a dealership that will retrofit an LSx into a solstice for you

    there is a few companys doing the swaps as well as selling complete kits, im too tired to look for them though. hot rod magazine made one that would be a good place to start looking

    really? kind of a good point, c5s are incredible lookiing. teh solstice is smaller though :dunno:

    expensive? i was kind of trying to come up with a cheap way.

    so it's not a straight up transfer? still sweet though, pretty legit?

    yeah that was like the only thing i found of much substance on a google search. i don't blame you for looking for them, just curious if it was possible and how easy it is or isn't. i mean it's not something i'd be wanting to do in the next couple months or anything anyway, but the idea intrigues me and seems awesome. ls7 almost seems like it'd be too much for that car i was thinking like an ls3 or something, how much are they? ls7 i think is like $15k.

    they spend billions engineering the corvette to be the perfect affordable lightweight sports car that is daily drivable.

    dropping a v8 into a dodgy roadster isn't going to even compete.

    yeah good point :o. plus i think the c5 is one of the most attractive cars ever made.

    dunno, just find it weird. Guess on the bright side the driveshaft spins at a lower speed since it's not geared up
