I just wanted to know peoples opinions on this subject. Basically, do you think it's right or wrong and why, or such as that.

Eh I guess its wrong in todays age, as most bible thumpers will tell you but back when JC was around it was pretty popular. So I am going to have to go with I am undecided.
I personally dont think I could make it work, or would want to as I belive marriage is sacred. If I want more than one partner I will remain single. Or so I think at this point in my life who knows how I will feel 10 or 20 years down the line.

I don't see the point in being married to more than one person. I personalyl see marriage as a commitment to ONE person. If more are involved, then your focus on each person is diminished.

Mormons used to practice it. But not anymore.

I think Brigham Young (as in BYU) had up to 27 wives! (that's also 27 mothers-in-law) :noes:

    to each their own

especially with something like that, as long as it's mutual between all people and not forced in anyway then I've no problem with it at all

Sounds like utter 1860's bullshit to me.
    (One wife is enough, puh-leez)
The only people that practice it are FLDS on a cultish level.
Like the fucking weird guy that kidnapped Elizabeth Smart.

Perhaps what you meant was polyamory.

That's much more acceptable in our new millenium.

he/she didn't ask if it was acceptible, but whether you thought it was right or wrong

for those who aren't familiar with the term...

    Main Entry: polyamory
    Part of Speech: noun
Definition: participation in multiple and simultaneous loving or sexual relationships

personally, I don't really see how the two are all that different, polygamy is simply taking it one step further, just like in many relationships

if you look at marriage, with two people, either they take that step or they don't, it's a personal decision

I think it should be the same for marriage among more than two people, their choice, but only as long as it's okay with all of the people involved. Not having a man going off and marrying as many women as he likes, or a woman doing the same. But a family type unit where all involved want it that way.

My point was there are not very many polygamous places or practices in American society today.

(cept Utah cults, and Bigamy doesn't count cause it's unknown to the wives)

However, polyamorous groups and such can be found literally everywhere in the US.

I don't really see Polygamy as neccesary unless it's some religious reasons, but if all are consenting then why not? Polyamory however is all good.

More than one wife, More than one lover, or more than one person to fuck?
    I'm so confused.

I don't agree with having more than one wife. If you want to have more than one lover, person to fuck...whatever...but I wouldn't be with someone who wanted to be with multiple partners.

I'm very attracted to other women, but not sexually. I just think we're beautiful creatures! lol

I've done the whole group sex thing once and it was great, but I wouldn't ever want to do that on a regular basis.
