Something AB13 said about getting a couple people together for a group buy has been tickling the back of my cranium. Who reloads, what calibers do you reload, and would you be down for a group buy on non-hazmat supplies? Mainly bullets and brass.

    Poll coming...

I haven't got a setup yet, but I would probably be in for a couple thousand of .40 and 5.56

Doing a run of 10mm and some x54r tommorrow

Would be down for 10mm and .308 brass if we got a decent price.

Squid, do you think you could make this a sticky? I think it'd be cool to have a standing thread of who loads what, so people could get together on this sort of thing. :x:

This would only work if you all lived locally. Otherwise you would keep paying the hazmat fee shipping it to each other once someone receives it.

That said, got my order from PowerValley today.

8k primers. Picked up some Magtechs for $19 a thousand x 5k. Experimenting with 2k Federal Match grades ($29 a thousand, ouch). And 1k of Win SPP. I heard really good things about the MagTech primers, and they're cheap. But the key is buying when they are in stock.

Oy! Me thinks me should learns to reads. lol

But yeah. With pistol brass, just start collecting them from the range, this takes a significant bite out of your budget. As far as bullets, it would sort of be the same thing. Unless you can get a group together to buy with folks that are local, it may not be worth the hassle to ship, and reship. Your best bet would be to buy in bulk of 25k and more and working with a local bullet manufacturer. Thank god Rainer is made here locally and we have a contact with them.

If anyone is local and wants to go up let me know.
