So my recruiter has received my police records for verification, and I have 2 charges on there. The first 1 is Battery. I was never arrested for it and I never did any time, the case was thrown out at court. The second charge was Petity Theft, which I was on probation and did community service for, also was never arrested. The recruiter said I will probably be disqualified because of the Battery charge, but wont know until he pushes it through. How screwed am I???? This sucks because I have been working so hard for this..........

what have you been working hard for? Signing papers? I don't understand.

As for your charges... if what you say is true I don't think you'll have a problem.

If it was battery against a family member, you will be dq'd. There is a law about domestic violence that makes it hard for you to be a Soldier. If the battery was not against a family member, go to the court, get court transcripts, and bring them to the Recruiter. That may make it easier for him, but be quick about it as waivers are closing quick right now.

It was a domestic case. The recruiter said I can probably still get in, but under a waiver

it fucking amazes me how people try to talk down their negative history, bro, you were arrested and taken to court for these charges. Deal with it and move on, don't try to down play it

I was never fucking arrested for the battery, nor did I do any time or probation or anything. I did do time for the theft, but the recruiter said the theft would not affect me

Didn't know there were rules about signing posts here. Didn't mean to offend anyone.

Thanks, Inforpics, for letting me know.
