I'm currently writing another short paper for school, the subject being gun control. Could anybody give me the name of the supreme court case in which they ruled that the police are not responsible to protect you?

I'll see if I can help you later tonight. My best friend was discussing this in one of his classes at UGA Law School yesterday. They didn't just stop at that case, they were discussing back to English colonial times, all the way up to present day, such as in NOLA, and how such rulings over time have changed.

Thanks. This is just for junior english class, but I still like making a strong point.

I love it when I'm arguing with someone, and they say it's the police's responsibility to protect us. I'll bring up that case, and the funny thing is, they usually won't accept it, and say I'm lying.

Well, there you go. Good thing, too, because I totally forgot. After a good workout, my body and my brain are numb.

It's always fun to see people's reactions when they learn that they are ultimately responsible for their own protection/assistance.

That's good debate fodder. I'm going to pick a fight with someone this weekend. :)
