I just got a call from my girlfriend, she said one of our neighbors was using our wireless router (which was open) to use logmein.com and embezzled a bunch of money from the company she works for. The police called my girlfriend thinking she had something to do with it. Going home at lunch to destroy harddrives...:noes: I am curious who that lady was that was surfing on our router. and what type of trouble she will be in... big time jail time I bet.

Anyway, the lady is fucked. I am just thinking maybe i should press charges against her for unauthorized use of wireless networks. Only so i could get details on what she was doing...

*pondering* How did they know it was a neighbor and not you? MAC address maybe?

Either way that woman is an idiot. [email protected] who think they know the internets... :hsugh:

I don't know about anyone else, but to me, that sounds really suspicious. Neighbor uses wireless to embezzle money from a person of the company who owns the wireless connection.

It was from her own company.. she just used our router to try and make herself anonymous.... I am going to give the cop a call when i get home and get details. they had the lady's name and she lives close by, another condo next to ours...

You might want to keep them intact incase they need what is on there for evidence to defend you. Let us know details when you get them. This is an exciting and terrifying event :noes::eek3::noes:

You're going to look suspicious wiping your hard drives after someone embezzled money from your network. When you say it wasn't you, then they ask why you wiped your drives, what are you going to tell them?

The woman made use of the internets. This falls under the jurisdiction of TWL.:wiggle:

    no need, just wipe once.
