All the K9 cars down hear have heat sensor built in to prevent this.. In AZ, WTF would they not have this, its hotter than Hell out there...

(the system in the cars here is that the car will lower all windows and sound the sirens if the car hits a certain temp)

Of course, standard procedure is to leave the car/air running...

Sad story to hear, especially with how tight the man/dog bound is.

I don't understand why he wouldn't just leave it running...not like his ass pays for gas.

Seeing dogs being abused makes me more mad then seeing people being abused cause they are so defenseless. What a fucking moron :madfawk:

Yeah. I believe he should get whatever someone would be charged with if they shot the dog. Isn't it a felony? or something?

He should be charged for killing a police officer. If a criminal kills a police dog he gets charged so why should it be different for a cop? This was no accident, he deliberately left the dog in a car in the heat.

K-9 units here are sworn officers - badges and creds issued.
I'm curious to see what actually happened.
Fuckups of this magnitude (much like an ND) usually involve more than one mistake, equipment failure, or violation of procedure.

Sucks for him and the dog though.
