I've always enjoyed writing sweet stuff. Not to impress (well sorta) but it just made me feel good writing stuff sometimes. I've written her sweet messages/poem while we were together so it was kinda fun writing this as well.

I broke up with the g/f a couple weeks ago and it was her birthday a few days ago. So I decided to write a little poem for her and send it to her first thing in the morning that day before I headed off to work.

I called her up later in the evening to wish her happy birthday and I asked her if she got the message and she just said "Yes, thank you". Didn't comment on it so I dunno if she thought it was corny, or just didn't mean much to her anymore. :sad2:

Oh well, it was just was my way of saying that I still care and that I wish her all the best in the future.

Anywho, she turned 20 on the 20th so I made it a little special. And yes there are 20 wishes (one way or another) in there so it took me a while to come up with this poem. I pretty much wrote most of it at work the day before. :)

20 Wishes for a Happy Birthday

    I wish you happiness,
    I wish you love.
    I wish you joy,
    from the heavens above.

    I wish you pride,
    I wish you strength.
    I wish you courage,
    with great content.

    I wish you wisdom,
    I wish you dexterity.
    I wish you confidence,
    in all its rarity.

    I wish you fortune,
    I wish you riches.
    I wish you stability,
    your life, it enriches.

    I wish you clarity,
    I wish you great visions.
    I wish you focus,
    in all your decisions.

I wish you continue to touch,
I wish you continue to see,
    the good person I remember,
the good person that you be.

    I wish you somehow,
    I wish you someway.
I wish you all the best,
    on your Golden Birthday.

    Happy Birthday Amy.

    With love,
    Gautam

Aww. I think I'd be embarrassed to post any of mine, but that was very sweet. :)

It's best when you think up something spontaneously.

We were in a restaurant one time and while we waited for our food, my ex told me to write her something sweet on a napkin, while she went to the bathroom.

    So I wrote her this:

I can't think of anything to write,
so I wrote you a lullaby.
So that you'll dream of me,
    when I say goodbye.

I've always found that teh women I am around that I write something for don't comment either, especially after thge break up. They say that they want a man who is sweet, caring, all that crap, but when you give them that, they lose interest, go figure.

My humour (usually sometimes twisted) and just me being sweet is enough to impress a girl but I find poetry and sweet words are just fun to do.

What girl can't resist sweet words/poetry?
