There are a few podcasts I'm subscribed to but I haven't been able to listen to them. So I started syncing the "5 least recent unplayed" podcasts to my iphone. This gives me the oldest unplayed ones so I can listen to them in order of release.

I listened to some, others I skimmed over. I figured the next time I sync, it'll remove the played ones and put on new ones. This didn't happen.

It kept them on and only removed a couple that were played and put new on. Anyone know why? There's one podcast where I told iTunes to mark them "not as new" which removes the blue 'new' dot. So I figured that would count as played. BUT it removed those podcasts and put the next ones on the iphone, not the next unplayed.

Anyone know a fix for this?

Did you listen all the way to the end? iTunes tends to keep any podcasts that have not been played to completion.

Yep. It only removed 1 that was listened all the way through. The others were just skimmed through and it left 4 that were listened to from start to finish.
