About a week ago i was doing chest exercises, among other things. towards the end of benching i noticed my left shoulder felt a little off - that is my left arm was *almost* popping out of the socket (thats the best way i can describe it). well i didnt think much of it and went on with the rest of my exercised (non chest stuff). Eventually i get to DB bench and am doing about 70 pound dumbbells and then my shoulder got a lot worse the more i did it. like at first i didnt think too much of it but on the third set it got pretty bad and i had to stop. this was last thursday. after that i called it quits and went home. later that night it just got more and more painful and continued to do so until saturday. then it started getting better, and now (its wednesday night here) it doesnt hurt - but if i do just pushups it starts to 'pop out' of the socket.

anyone have this happen to them? have i destroyed my tendons or any other cartilage in my shoulder? should i give it mroe time off or what? its really annoying me that i cant lift because i really dont want to screw it up for good.

not quite so simple. im in japan doing foreign study and from things ive heard about japanese medicine (from my hostmother) it makes me really not completely trust japanese medicine. seriously some of the stuff is like the opposite of what u want to do. and i dont want them to do something that will make it worse.

hahaha. for example unless u have perfect vision starting out, they "train" your eyes. ok fine, but they go like one eye then the other, then the other, then the other, and so on - like how she explained it it seems they purposly make your vision worse. both she and my host brother (about my age)have horrible vision that seems to get worse.

yeah... judging from your Japanese I don't think you understand what your host mom is saying.

She's probably saying something about healthcare and how people in Japan always go to doctors when they get sick because it is covered.

But you understand it as "sushi, sashimi, anime, cosplay, voodoo, die"
