that's a nice system u got there, although i don't like the W0 as much, but if it sounds good to you then its good. very clean install.
I was really hoping for some serious bashing. I'm using MTX for christ's sake!
Shit I wouldnt care if your's was a pyramid showcar, if it makes you happy and sounds good and looks good to you, thats really all that matters.
Yeah... I like it...
nothing wrong with mtx amps. not the cleanest. but also not running alot of power so it doesnt matter tooo much.
True, it doesnt sound as nice as the Phoenix Gold I used to have (not that it was anything great). But the PG would constantly overheat and shut down. It was a 4-channel, running in the same configuration as my MTX. I even had a cooling fan blowing on it. That helped, but it still shut off on hot summer days.
But, the MTX was cheap too...
the newer MTX amps are made by xtant, they are not really that bad. best thing about the MTX amps, is they fit in tight spaces. they don't go for the "massive looking amp sells" market, they go for the "install friendly" market. the way i see it is... if MTX products don't sound good to you, then someone else should be doing your installs.
Nice setup. What 4 channel amp was it? Do you know the load the amplifier is seeing? Most of the PG line is 2 Ohm stable. Depending on the amplifier, it could be stavrved for power too.
All my audio equipment recently got jacked and now I am starting from scratch.
Sirius radio sucks.
That's all I have to say.
It was an old, chrome QX4150. Bottom of the line. I had the rear channels bridged to a 4-ohm sub, so it was only running 2 ohms. It shouldnt have been power starved, I was running 4GA power and ground and a 1-farad cap, my OEM alternator puts out over 110amps.
MTX makes some good stable amps. I would not bash them. As for your install its pretty good, nice and clean. Do you have any midbass or is it just the eclipse tweeters and stock speakers?
looks good i got 2 10W3 and there pretty good
It's an eclipse 8062 component set, not just tweeters.
