Yeah I said please, kiss my ass :( The Jetta has to go and I'm like a kid in a candy store. I'm going for something in the same price range (20-25k USD) and there's just too much to pick. No real requirements so far either, except that it be a quality and comfortable car. We just got feet of snow so AWD could be useful, and the more girls that can fit the better. I figure the following are pretty hot for the green, but it's a pretty long list. Pick one, I know I can't.

    - '00 Audi A8 (V8 4.2, AWD, ultra-lux, heated everything)
    - '01 Audi S4 (2.7T, AWD, 4dr, yummy-fast)
    - '99 BMW M-Roadster (3.2 V6, RWD, holyfuck-fast)
    - '99 Porsche Boxster (2.7 I6, RWD, it's a Porsche)
    - '03 Subaru WRX (2.0T, AWD, fugly but fun)

Other options are an A4, 3 series, older ML or X5, just maybe an 8 series. What would you get if you had the cash? Should be fun.

I would go with the S4 or the WRX because they are good in the snow and 4dr so the ladies can fit in. The M Coupe would be fun but doesn't seem to fit your needs, an M car that is closer to your needs is a 97-98 M3 4dr.

What kind of 00' A8 can you find for around $25k?

We scored a really nice deal on a 00 A6 2.7T. 22k miles for $23995. The only option that I wanted that it didn't have was Xenon :rant2:

By '03 WRX are we talking about the bugeyed version or the recently facelifted version?

Out of those, I wouldnt say the Boxster or the M-Roadster. Yes they might be good drivers cars, but from my experience a lot of people would believe you to be a hairstylist driving one of them.

The A8 is a hell of a car, and I can see that the prices over there are reaching the same bargin status as they are in the UK. Fairly big car though, not exactly perfect for throwing about.

So really, I'd say the S4. Looks good, quick, well-built and AWD. Can't lose.

Of course I'm alive :big grin: Hows the Uni stuff going?

Hairstylist, as in hairdresser, as in upmarket barber. I was just attempting to display the possible questions people might ask about your sexuality if you were to buy a Boxster or M Roadster.

WRX. The Audi is also a very nice car, but I'm thinking insurance and maintenence on a Subaru will be much cheaper that on an Audi.

A8 man. Perfect cars. What about a 7series BMW? Possibly the most beautiful sedan ever IMO.

I have till late spring to decide (till the snow melts :() so I'll keep all options in mind now. It's suck a bloody cocktease, and test-driving will only make things harder (such as my co... nevermind).

Thanks for your opinions, but they got me nowhere :hs: Some of you have common sense, which I refuse to realize - and others are as crazy (read: stupid) as I am :big grin: But thanks anyway you lot.

Get the WRX, and with the money you save, you can make it go stupid fast. S4 is a pimp ride though.

    I vote S4 or WRX.

No engine mods are to be made, except for probably an S4 chip.
