I just can't decide on which psu to get. it's making me crazy.

I know I'm not going to do any sli, but I want a good quality quiet psu that will last me awhile. At least untill BTX becomes the industry standard.

    Should I get
    Enermax Liberty 500 Watt PSU
    or
    SeaSonic S12-430 Watt PSU

I like how quiet the SeaSonic is, but I'm not sure about the Enermax. I like the modular cables, but I don't like how they put 2 sata and 2 pata connectors on one cable when I'm only going to be using the pata for my 2 hard drives.

    This is my current setup:
    MSI K8N Neo 2 Platinum
    AMD Athlon64 3200+ (winchester s939)
2 sticks of 512MB corsair value ram
    Generic DVD-Rom
    2 7200 RPM HD's (Maxtor, and WD)
old pci Sound card (sounds a lot better than onboard)
    usb keyboard & mouse
    thermaltake hsf
    1 case fan atm

I bought an enermax (535w) back in september and it died after 4 days. The replacement seems to be doing fine so far though.

I have a system pretty similar to yours.

Steal a 12v Sears DieHard from a Buick LeSabre. That should get the job done.

enermax makes good stuff. I've got 2 of them that are ~4 years old still cranking out the power.

I like the Vantec iON2 460W psu. It's got a fully-vented back panel to improve airflow, and a 120mm fan on the bottom panel to move air without making a lot of noise. It also has pre-wrapped cables; I wish it had modular cables, but the pre-wrapped ones keep the inside of my case fairly tidy.

    EDIT: NewEgg sells it.

My Enermax is ~5 years old and still running strong, but its definitely not quiet. It has two fan though, the single 120mm should be quieter.

I'm running a Fortron Source Blue Storm 500 in my new comp. I've had it ~9 months and so far its solid as a rock and pretty quiet.
