It's my CDRW, I load nero, pick my songs, click on write (audio cd) and it will burn away (it takes forever because my shit is kinda old and burns at 4x max) - it completes the burn successfully. I go to load it in any cd player, and wa-la. The track numbers are there and I can skip through them but there is no music.

Why the hell would my burner be doing this???

    HELP. :)

    Thanks.

couple of things you can try...

convert the mp3's the .wav first

try burning it at a slower speed 4x or even 1x just to see if that's the problem.

um...the only other thing i can think of is check to make sure nero is completely updated with the latest updates.

    hope that helps

On CDR's or CDRW's? Some players will have issues with CDRW's

if you are using cdrw's make sure the player suppots it. cause they are a form of multi-layered it wont know how to read it.

if you are using cdr's make sure that the session is closed. this writes the leadin so the cdr can know where to start reading it.

i didn't even notice she was using RW CD's. RW's play in a very limited number of players. CD-R's however will play in just about all.

Thanks for your help guys... I haven't had any problems previously with my CDRW but I haven't been finalising so that could be the issue here. If I had lollipops I'd give you all one! :big grin:

Gonna try burning one now, you'll definitely hear from me is something goes wrong. :o

haha, I know someone with the same problem. Her burner *all of a sudden* stopped burning. I'll pass the finalize suggestion on to her as well. Liddy let us know if that works. :)

Well fellas, I finalised, I even burned at 2x. I also let the computer burn and didn't use it for the 2047092830 hours it took to simulate and burn. I wasted another CD. This is like CD number 15 I have had to throw out. :wtc: It's really starting to piss me off.

    WHY GOD WHY?!

    help.

Also, stop having it "simulate". Waste of time IMO.

are you able to play regular music cds in your cd-rom? are you able to play the cds you've burned in a normal cd-player (like a discman or in your car?)

if the answers to these questions are no and yes respectively, it could be that you haven't hooked up the audio cable from your cd-rom to your sound card.

also, try turning up the volume and/or turn on your speakers :big grin:
