Please evaluate a noob-bulkers Meal Plan

    Breakfast: Oatmeal/cream of wheat - 1 or 2 servings :bowdown:
    Cup of coffee (when I need a kick in the a$$)

    11:15am-Noon Snack: 2 eggs scrambled w/ American Cheese and (sometimes) Bacon on toasted bagel with salt/pepper/ketchup :bowdown:

    Lunch: Some sandwich of meats w/ salad involved .e.g.Chicken wrap/deli meats/burger

    Snack: Yogurt/ 1 piece of fruit

    Dinner: whatever my roomates cook (vague Grandma's Boy reference)--STEAK/Pasta


    I drink an ON whey protein shake post-workout and sometimes a half-shake 30min before i work out when i dont get around to it until late nite :squint:



    improvements and recommendations? (please be specific !)



    im 22, semi-scrawny, 170lbs soaking wet :hs:

    Why'd you weight yourself soaking wet?

    I think it'd be easier to measure progress if you just did it naked first thing in the morning.

    How much do you want to weight?

    by "soaking wet" i meant that is the most I weigh on a daily flucuating basis.

    I want to weigh 185 lean, so realistically, 190 then cut.

    i really need to post some pics, but theyre kind of pointless, imagine a skinny 5"11" guy with no arms/beach muscles and slight definition :noes:

    more protein, more shakes, heavy snacks, heavy lunch, heavy dinner, maybe veggies with dinner?....

    That seems like it's around 2500 calories at most. You are gonna want to eat more often, as well as more food

    Yknow I have a real problem eating a LOT at once....I'll have to eat like 2/3 of a meal then an hour later eat more then an hour later eat more.


    fuck this is going to be expensive AND difficult to bulk. i really need to make some blue prints. :hsd:

    I got a box of these Powerbar Protein Plus bars at Sams sat. 24g of protien and almost 300 cals. Makes for a nice mid morning snack for me.

    started as of the time u posted. i went downstairs and bought a sandwich

    then i went out at 2:30 and got a pepporoni slice aand a sicilian


    after work im gonan stop off and grab more pizza or a subway sandwich


    then im going to reheat dinner to eat again at like 7


    then workout 7:45-9 and have a full shake

    He was serious. You really need to be eating at least 3500 calories, 4000 would be better.

    Eat more chicken, eat more veggies, eat more chicken, drink more protein shakes, and eat more chicken.

    I have had the worst eating habits.....Ive been eating on average 2-2.5 meals a day for the past 5 years.

    basically what I'm learning is I need to double that until I am shitting my brains out to make more room for food ... :noes:

    Basicall, yeah. Your'e not going to be gaining shit unless you're eating like 5 decent-sized meals a day. The first few days are tough, but once your stomach learns to stretch out it gets easier and easier to eat more food.

    At barely 170lbs, I'd recommend you give 3000-3200 calories a day a try for the first 2 weeks, and my first post was just a smartass remark to piss off the people who keep bitching about the use of weigh and weight :p.

    aight. i guess its on, stuff my face like a fat kid.

    how detrimental to progress will eating ANYTHING that comes my way ("Dirty Bulk")? that wouldbe a lot easier (like destroying a box of goldfish at 12am)

    Goldfish aren't that bad for you normally, but eating them right before bed isn't a great idea. But at your height and weight you might as well. Just gets tons and tons of protein.

    how the hell are you 170 on that diet? Im ~135 on a ~3750 cal diet. :o

    I have the same problem (for the most part) about eating a lot in one sitting. I am trying to cut back on in between meal snacks just so i can eat bigger during my meals.
    I usually try to get 600 cal each meal (11, 3, 6, 9, 12, 3). It will have to be adjusted when I am back in school though. Track your calories using www.fitday.com too. When I know I'm tracking myself I push myself to eat more.


    taking nlarge2 post workout (2pm) helps also.580 Cals(5/84/52) + ~250 cals from 2 cups milk.

    this is scary, eating that much is going to cost me tons and is also going to be incredibly hard to do considering i have been eating like a 10 year old girl
