*edit: actually more like this but without the white little lines.

I've been toying with the idea of a st. micheal oriented tattoo since my last ink. None of my tattoos (I have two others) are fancy and both are simple black and white line drawings - no shading. Which is exactly how i wanted them so i question putting something extravagant on my body compared to the simplicity of them.

So there are my ideas...of course more detail would be added if i went the route of the detailed but the simple black one i've some attraction too also...i love simplicity. Also possibly change the devil portion to black also and leave white/flesh below that to square up the bottom and equal out hte light/dark.

Anyway used a design for reference i found somewhere for the scene part.

    Suggestions welcome
Please don't hate, i'm fragile :hsd:

I like the idea. Though, I'd have a bit more of the demon coming out. You are going to get a professional looking version that is all smooth and cleaned up right?

It could be cool. Definitely get it redrawn by a professional, maybe some more shading and detail but it could be cool. Just keep it black and white and maybe make the cross less blocky.

Yes definitely have it cleaned up ALOT before it was ever put on my body.
These where just quick glimpses at an idea, definitely would have more shading and all...not sure about the shape of the cross, depends on if i go detailed or not i suppose.
I really do for some reason too, here is another version of it....i'm going to try and draw it on me somewhere to really get the idea of what it would look like.

If i can get a design to work there you can identify both parts then it's money....but it'll take some effort with only outlines.

I've been thinking of drawing this up a little cleaner for you, even doing an acrylic painting of my version. i hope that's ok, I'll drop you a pm with a scan of the finished version if you want.

the idea is very cool - i'd like to see it cleaned up;)

my.02 is - i like the black and white contrast but i don't like the black cross.
it leaves a weird implication since the demon is black. depending on how simple you want it (and i believe you mentioned you want it somewhat elaborate?) maybe you could throw something on the cross to differentiate it from the other two - leave the demon filled in black and st michael white and then the cross sort of simple in the background but still defined.... just my .02 ;)
