    Has anyone done this before?

I've been looking around the net to find devices that'll let me connect my ps2 to my laptop and so far i've only found the dazzle video capture device.

Anyone on OT recommend anything different?

laptops have their display ports as OUTPUT only. i havent seen on that has input display ports.

he has some third party card that is allowing him to display it on his laptop. however there is usually lag with that route.

you'll need a tv tuner card to play consoles through your pc or laptop. Most lag bad (1-3 seconds between button presses) so you'll have to shop around and do your research to find one that's not shit for gaming

Right, his laptop didn't have an input display port either. He asked me how to do it at first and I remember thinking, "just use the vga cable", then realized that wouldn't work.

The lag didn't seem too bad but I was only watching him play, I didn't try it myself.

this sounds like a bad idea all the way around. you can't spend $45 dollars on a tv to hook the ps2 up to instead of wasting the money on a tv capture card?
