There is a difference of opinion in this forum from time to time, so lets get it out in the open.

"Playing the game" is not lying, cheating, or manipulating women. It is learning from the mistakes and successes of others and doing things others have done that have proved to be successful with women. Learning what reactions women will have to your actions.

Now that the definition is out of the way, how do you feel about it?

To me, "playing the game" is using manipulative tactics to get women to sleep with you quickly, and then you dump them.

What you describe is simply a learning process, like learning to ride a bike, what I would call "mentoring." We all need to grow and learn, but at the same time we can't start using our new knowledge in a bad way (like stealing bikes, whatever).

You have to be responsible and ethical about it. That's my take.

That is the answer I have needed to hear for a long time!

You're completely right. The learning process is so often mistaken for "the game" --- I just thought there was playing the game a good way, and playing the game a bad way.

    Great answer, Poco!
