its the lens, if I focused on his toes his face would be out of focus. I was walking on the edge man, in a 4ft deep pool with a brand new 5d, battery grip, and an 85mm 1.8, luckly the only thing I dropped was the lens cap and not the camera lol.

3 months, he was a month early. Kid is gonna be broly. Mother had high blood pressure and migranes so the doctor gave her steroids a month or two before he was supposed to come out early so his lungs could develop. He's getting big. I'm gonna be taking their family pics and stuff for cards and shit, just have to practice. Cool thing is tho alot of her friends are pregnant or just had kids as well, so I was hoping they'd see some of my pics once I get my studio setup and they'd want pics form me. She went to sears and paid $150 for just a couple snap shots I about flipped lol. I just recently got a epson r2400 so I'm gonna be a happy camper.

Here is a pic I took in hawaii with my parents that I had some fun in lightroom with. It was the first pic printed on my epson and I hung it on the wall.

:wavey: me, I went from nikon to canon I'm still getting used to it, its like literally the first time sitting down and working with it. Strangely enough I'm just getting into the hobby and I have money to play around with and usually my feeling is spend the money for quality up front and learn on the best. I've had point and shoot cameras for a while but I want to get more into this hobby now that I have more time on my hands and work from home.

:bigthumb: you picked a good camera to start with too! Once you get better, you'll want to shoot in Manual. However, while you're learning your way around the 5D, if you set your camera to AV mode, it will allow you to set the aperture to a smaller setting thus allowing a bit more depth of field. The camera will then set the shutter speed for you. This works well when you have plenty of light to work with. But having said that, I'm impressed with the camera's ability to meter in "P" mode.
