Ya, but its not just the light I need... the softbox, the pocket wizards, and the background. But the background can just be uncut paper like we were using tonight, but thats still a good $800-900 :wtc:

why is this hobby so expensive? :hs:

Yep. Fortunately I had all that already. Minus the softbox (purchased at the same time) and Pocket wizards. I'm sporting the mighty poverty wizards right now.

    *Edit*
Plus I can only get away with buying onesy, twosy items. It's easier to convince the wife.

this shit is greek to me, i just know i need ems. :wtc:

Actually, i need a halo lamp for my camera and some soft boxes. I just dont know what to get or how to make them work with a flash. Do they come with flashes? or are they always lit like just a lamp?

LOL dude your post is crazy. I'm guessing the halo lamp you're talking about is a ring flash? The thing you put your camera lens inside of and take a picture, right? Alienbees ARE flashes, and the "lamp" you are talking about is called a modeling light and that just simulates the light quality (not intensity) that the flash will produce when fired. You need to play with a flash mah man!

Crazy doesnt begin to describe it. :mamoru:

And i do pretty ok with my SB800, but i have issues about only having 1 flash. I've used it remotely, but not exactly as i would have liked it to be, probably because i had to use the on camera flash to activate it? :dunno:
