suggestion..start small...on your arm or something
easier if you have a willing partner to help "tent" the skin to pierce it

if the needles feel dry going in..dip them in a bit of k.y.

    25ga.

Wasn't sure what to start off with so I figured that would be a good size. It was the second smallest. They actually had some standard sizes too, I think 14 or 16 was the highest. I'll wait before I move up to those though.

Most play piercing is done with 25g, sometimes smaller and sometimes bigger. Rarely done with 14g or 16g.

Yeah, from what I had seen online it looked like a lot of it was done with a really small gauge but I didn't know what size. I just figured 25 was a good number to start at and if I get ballsy I'll work my way up.

25 is comfortable 22 is also nice and great cuz you get the cool black hubs!
20 will leave you a little sore and tends to bleed a bit more(sometimes that's the end result wanted)

and ya i agree with buttons...16-14gauge... not ur wisest choice

mind you bmefest a few years back the pain olympics quickly jumped up to 10gauge rounds hahaha....guess you had to be there

proper way would be to get a sharps container. either from a medical supply store or a pharmacy...just tell them ur new in town and you have diabetes, and u'd also like to know what the city's policy is on disposal..

around here we just bring the sealed container back to where we bought it and they dispose of it

Doesn't really hurt. Probably looks worse than it really is. I don't push the needle through quickly though, I do it slowly.....which leads me to think I'm fucked in the head :)

the 25's are nice they slide right in...but i preffer the blood that comes with the 20's!!

sorry i didn't get better pics of the bleeding..but she had to put the cam down to help wipe up blood :wtc:
