I don't know, new car had an amp, subwoofer, better speakers and a non working deck...I've never dealt with car audio before, so I don't know much.

Man, this thing has so many different settings...I don't know what many of them mean, I just move them around and see what sounds best.

The only thing I hate is that when I have the t-tops off I can't see shit.

I'm not a Pioneer fan. I was in highschool due to their cost but lost faith as I got older.

    Eclipse>Alpine>Kenwood>Pioneer>OEM>Sony

Eclipse Alpine Kenwood can be swapped around depending on who you talk to and what brand they deal ;)

That head units got a lot of bling involved... Be wary. OEL screen in a single din non flipout?

    Gimmicks...

I'm currently running Kenwood Excelon gear in my 300 and am having a new Kenwood deck put in my Continental as I type. I've been happy with their design and funcionality and most importantly SQ.

Alpine, Eclipse, and Kenwood Excelon are in the same realm as far as I'm concerned.. Some car audio nazi fags gonna come in here like loudsystem and call me out for using kenwood now but whatever.

Pioneer isn't really quality car audio gear IMO but its just yet another opinion in a sea of assholes. :bigthumb: If you want flashing lights and pretty colors buy a DVD unit, otherwise a single din unit should be usable and functional.

Is there a site that can give you the optimal audio settings for a car? I have a 300zx and can't find anything on the internet.

It doesnt work that way. Find a good installer and listen to his advice. Give the guy a budget and let him work. Car audio is one of those things that you can waste THOUSANDS on and never be happy.

I spent years working on my own shit and ever since finding a quality installer haven't looked back. Search all the online forums for a decent install and you'll find it.
