I'v read my owners manual cover to cover trying to figure out how to dim the blue lights on this thing. I can get the actual screen to dim, but the blue lights around the knob do not dim, and they are so bright that I can hardly drive at night.

Im assuming that they just dont dim, and that Im screwed. I came here to see if anyone had any words of wisdom. These lights are driving me nuts.

    anyway...

    1. Turn the head unit off (hold Source for 2 seconds)
    2. hold the adjust/ or something like that for 2 second to get the config menu.
    3. turn the brightness down from the default 15 (turn it down to 1 if you want)

Thats how the screen brightness is adjusted, not the lights around the buttons... guess this thing is always going to be lit up. Might have to open it up and rip out the light. I love the head unit, but these lights are just ridiculous.

so i took apart the face and found all the little bastard LEDs that light up the knob and buttons, and I colored them all with sharpie...

Now it lights up perfectly. Not too bright, but not too dark.

Call me a jackass if you want. It sure worked.
