pinned myself tonight....

    pinned myself tonight.... V.noIdontdosteroids...

    Towards the end of my chest workout, I equalled my incline bench max - 275x5....

    So I got cocky, and threw 300 on the bar, like :fawk: - I got this shit!


    I hit one rep, went down for the 2nd, and my chest said :mamoru:


    Pinned right under my sternum, and at that point, it's all delts, screaming for mercy...

    Had to dump the weights to get out... fucking gay.

    So then I put 135 up there and hit 12, just to make myself feel better...




    Oh, and apparently yelling 'Ain't nuttin but a peanut!!!' :o while pinned.... does nothing.

    No, I workout in my basement.

    Wife was like WTF! when she heard the weights crash, told her I accidently dropped a plate....

    I used clips so I do the ol' "roll it down the stomach and sit up and pull it off you" trick if I got pinned.

    But I work out a gym now so I can just cry for help now.

    Good weights though, better than myself definatley. :bigthumb:

    pinning yourself under weight is a pain in the ass. its not a big deal, but people in gyms make the weirdest faces and shit when you fail.... i hate to break it to them, but failing is a part of growing.

    Safety hooks won't do much good with the weight already on your chest.

    I got pinned doing floor presses today. With my elbows on the floor, I didn't have any room to dump the plates like I do if I miss a max on a bench. Then I tried to roll it down my torso so I could slip out but my gut was too big. Eventually I just had to call out to have someone to help me. :ugh:

    Yeah, sorry bout the misleading title... I didn't even realize the connection til it was too late...


    Oh, and thanks on the 275x5. That shit is heavy! I think i'm gonna stay there for a bit. I actually have a bruise on my chest this morning. I let the weight sit on my chest til it felt like it was crushing me, thinking that somehow I was gonna be able to muster the strength to move it...

    Shit like that is humbling....

    I'm hittin that 300 today. I've been pumping myself up all morning for it.

    No way that bar is gonna beat me again tonight!!!
