I'm going away with work for 4 days and want to bring a bunch of pills with me.

Has anyone traveled recently and carried pills on with their luggage, as opposed to checking the bag?

I was going to throw them all into a small tupperware thing, but I don't know if that looks sketchy or not.

    Thanks.

Yeah I don't think I have any at my house.

I'll see if my girlfriend has any she can bring over, but then it wouldn't have my name on it.

I'm sure as long as you don't have a baggie of white powder it will be fine.

I also want to carry on my CPAP, but something tells me they aren't going to be stoked with a small electronic box in my bag.

I took a bunch of pills and "white powder" with me on my last trip to CA. I put it in a baggie and put that baggie in the middle of my clothes in my checked bags. It was fine when I got there.

tupperware's safer... having it in a prescription container's illegal, unless the pills are what the prescription's written for

Right I'm worried that if they see a bunch of different sized pills they are going to think they are something else.

They held me up at customs in Paris for a bottle of ZMA. This was back in 2001...they did give it back and let me through though.

Pretty much best thing to do. Last time I travelled to the states I didn't check anything in and they were cool with my supps. On the way back from Vegas they took away a couple of the liquid whey and energy drinks but let me keep the pill samples that I got at the expo .

i just got back from a trip, i had pills mixed up in a vit c bottle and they didnt say anything to me. i also had 2 water bottles that i filled up with whey (just the powder) which they pulled me aside over... they just put it through some machine to test it (without opening the bottles) and gave it back to me a min later.

I've flown a bunch of times with zma/fishoil/vitamins/neurogenex in a ziploc bag in my travel kit, no issues.

    Not at all.

Dozens of pills in tupperware = red flag.
Dozens of pills in prescription bottle = too much work to analyze if they're ACTUALLY the real thing. Are they going to stop you for weeks and send it to a lab?

Just remember what is legal in the US isn't necessarily legal in other countries. 'Normal' growth hormone pills Stallone brought into Australia recently got him charged.

So be mindful of any local laws relating to any drugs. I think even chewing gum is illegal in Singapore ... so don't think because it's sounds silly it's not worth checking.

:uh: do NOT put it in a prescription bottle. Quite possibly the dumbest thing you can do. Put it in the weekly pill box that GT suggested.

Tell that to the hundreds of people over at afboard, and other boards I won't mention who do it on a weekly basis. I'm not saying the day pill box is a bad idea, I think its a good idea, but there is nothing wrong with carrying a pill bottle. And you give no reasoning as to why not.
