I had my lip pierced last year and I took it out due to it healing wrong (skin growing over jewelry) and me being tired of dealing with it. But since then I've missed it a lot so I went and got it done again today.

Cool, but I think you'd look better with a seamless ring in there.

Dr Jefe's yeah. Except its not owned by him anymore, it's owned by one of the piercers now. I don't think I can come up with a better person to own the shop actually.

I'm not a fan of rings :hs:

...last time I had it done there was a CBR in there for 2 weeks and I couldn't stand it. Then I put a horse shoe barbell in and liked that for a while but I really just like the straight barbells. I can close my mouth without any problems and also its easier to put on chapstick and whatever. Sounds weird I know but I'm picky like that :)

I usually despise offcenter lip piercings... but I like yours because it's not a ring. Good job!

A little bit. When it was pierced it today, the guy put a fairly decent sized ball on the back. It kinda rubs my gums slightly so I'm going to find a smaller ball in my arsenal and swap the two :)

IMO a flat back would be much more comfortable inside your mouth.

Did you get it in the exact same spot as before?

I had to take mine out for work a while back, but I'm going to have it done again. :big grin:

I've always said no to flatbacks ever since I pierced my labret. I was eating a sandwich and the flatback got caught on my teeth and I bit into it causing a great amount of pain from pulling it, to the point of tears :hs:

Same exact spot as before. I was worried about scar tissue but I don't think I had any.

No idea, I imagine the rubbing isnt great for it, but I don't intend to leave a ball the size of the current one on the inside. I'll probably swap it for something a lot smaller that doesnt hit my teeth.

Good to know, I have a tiny scar where mine is but I don't see how it would be a problem...

Shouldn't be a problem at all unless you can feel scar tissue under the skin :)
