anyone ever taken digital pics of x-rays before?

I had to do this at work the other day with a shitty fuji 2MP camera. I was using a tripod with the flash off in a darkroom, but the exposure was really uneven. does anyone have any recomendations?

First, make sure that the lightbox that illuminates the x-rays has all of the bulbs working. You want a nice even light behind the x-rays. Next, I would take a meter reading through your camera of the lightbox without the x-rays. Open up your aperature two stops from that reading. Place the x-rays on the lightbox and start shooting. Bracket your exposures, one stop open and one stop closed from your initial setting.
