Today was a bit of an excersize for me if you will. I have not explored the wide angle abilities of my kit lens that much since I have been into DSLR photography. I have also not effectively learned how to use fill flash outdoors. This was an excersize for me to mostly get better at using my wide angle lens and fill flash. There are some telephoto shots mixed in here.

    Canon 30D
    580 EX
    Canon 18-55
    Tamron 28-75
Canon 75-300 (Can't wait to replace this with the 70-300)

This one is pretty much all direct flash. The cieling here is not supportive of a bounce flash.

whish I had a longer lens on to catch this goof-ball.

probably the most exagerated facial features picture I took.

    little dark

    almost just right

I love the Tamron 28-75 stopped down. The 100% crop of this is extremely sharp.

like the color of his shirt

let the background get too bright

That's all folks. Thanks for viewing.

I would much rather have the lens you mentioned along with one or two 1.4x converters but I just can't afford it right now. I'll get one eventually.

For the price the 70-300 is a great lens.

some decent shots in there; tighter crop ones worked better than the loose shots, at least for me

  12. I also have a 580ex, it's awesome!! but I've never used any other canon flashes so I can't tell you how much better it is than other flashes :)
