Was in mexico from the 18-21 building houses. Here are some of my favorite pics I took. I wasnt able to take my D70 so all the photos are taken on a Canon SD 700 IS. Most were typical boring P&S pics so I spent a while Post processing them trying to give them the look I used. Was going for more of a soft/contrasty feel.

    Any opinions?

Awesome pictures. How did the camera hold up? I'm thinking about getting one.

Held up great. I bought 3 extra batteries since I didnt think the one would last but it lasted until an hour before I left. This is with IS on all the time, LCD for every pic, and a lot of flash usage. I was very impressed. Quality was great in low light as well. Would deff. reccommend. I got it at beach camera. I carried it around on a hardcase on my belt....The camera would have been trashed if I had used a soft case with all the bumping around and dirt/dust it would be exposed to.

I used a gradient map adjustment layer, turned down the opacity a bit.

contrast adjustment layer and upped that till i got it where i liked it.

made a duplicate of original layer then applied a gaussian blur and reduced the opacity on that

Why do you keep mentioning the 18's tagged? What's the significance?
