Finally I have a nice sharp lens to shoot with. This one I took last night, my dog hates cameras so I didn't have much to do other than frame and shoot before he took off. And I still can't really tell if he is sharp all the way to the top or if he went soft just there.

Let me know what you think, I don't have much experience yet.

    Aww, I like it. :)

And I think he is in focus near the top, but I can see how it almost appears OOF.

for all the talkin about you finally having a sharp lens, I would shoot the dog again, except IN focus.

I'm thinking of getting the 50mm 1.8 as my next lens also. I'd enjoy seeing more pics of what it can do.

Did you read my post? I'm never going to get the opportunity with him again because he can't sit still. I know it turned out a bit soft. :ugh:

The shot has blue color cast, warm it up a little bit.

Well he won't sit still, I just got lucky that time.

Your post just came off harsh, you could have just said 'yes, it is out of focus.' and that would have sufficed.
