    I don't know if it's just how the photos show up in the browser or how you correct them, but they seem flat to me. Do you happen to use the Selective Color tool to correct them in Photoshop? To me it looks like when you crank the levels up too much on the Yellows and Greens and it loses the blacks.

    No offense taken at all, I think the shadow/highlight is what did it. I'll have to be careful to avoid that.

    edit: that is a resize of the full frame, not a crop. you are looking at about 1/2 an inch across.
