Range shooting from 25y out to 600yards mostly and general plinking in the bush.

I'm going to ditch the red dot scope for a Nikon Monarch 3-12x42 say for anything over 100yards (it dosn't have irons unfortunately) then for close in stuff either thinking of a beamshot laser on a figure 8 mount coming off the top of the Nikon (for short range stuff) or a side bracket coming off the main picatinny with a trijicon reflex sight. Not sure yet what would be better.

I think its a music box that was lying around the house that I very poorly photshopped out.

Thats another thing I will add - a bipod (but might be way too awkward with the pump.)

So why not a bolt action if you want to use a bipod and scope to shoot out to 600 yds?

to be honest its shocking with the red dot - but its a cheap Chinese piece of junk which is why I'm investing in the Nikon which I think will give me decent groups. My mate has same carbine with a Super Sniper scope and is getting pretty good groupings. Barrel is free floating.

Next purchase will probably be a Remington 700 bolt action in .308 so I can shoot out to 1000yards. Throw the Nikon on that and go back to a decent red dot on the .223.

Just want to try something different for now - fucking everyone in Aus has a bolt action....

yeah can have lever, bolt or pump. But no semi's

The goal for my collection is a .22LR lever, this pump in .223 then the .308 bolt.

Actually heres a pic of the laser sight I was talking about on a figure 8 mount (on top of a long range scope). It has windage/elevation and supposed to porject to 700yards (though I'd only use say out to 50yards).

My wife has a Remington 760 in .257-Roberts on her side of the safe. I've had access to it for almost 5 years now and still haven't shot it

The only pump rifle I've ever shot was a .22, anything else just seams weird.

Maybe this will be the year :dunno:
