Ok, finished installing the parts kit yesterday. It was my first lower build, so I ended up with a few scuffs, but it went together pretty good. Here's what I have so far... Spikes Tactical (Punisher) lower, Rock River Arms parts kit, Vltor stock, ERGO grip and Gear Sector single point tactical sling. My NFA paperwork is in the works, so at anytime I'll be getting a 10.5" LMT upper w/ YHM or MI handguards, MI rear sight, then if I have any money left a Gemtech G5 or YHM Phantom suppressor.

This Punisher was a custom made one that's shaded, you can't tell from the flash, but it's got etching that shaded parts of it. They said it was a special request from a customer and he had a couple made up.

is it full auto? Whats required for it? Cause I have the ar pistol and I can put that on a lower but that would be an sbr but I dunno about full auto with that as well. That would be cool.

It's just the bullet markings similar to an MP5 instead of the usual FIRE/SAFE. There's a couple guys that have the skull in WMD, but I used to be into the Punisher back when I collected comics... and in person it's pretty dark, not a white skull.

im going to bed, but find a transferrable weapon (hard), fill out a form (other steps in here too), pay a tax, wait for the forms to come back

pretty expensive, but it seems like you have lots of money :naughty:

That's the lower I want... :bigthumb:

Actually... the only thing I would do differently is the stock, but still a nice lower overall.:big grin:

    Here's the breakdown for everything
    ST Lower $105
    RRA Parts Kit $65
    Vltor stock $151.00
    ERGO Grip $24
    GS Sling w/mount $58.00

So far I'm at $403 for the lower build
The 10.5" LMT upper w/bolt group is $637.00
MI or YHM handguards are around $150
    Government $200

I'll have around $1190 in the gun without a sight system
Add the government tax and I'm at $1390 total cost for this build, then another $700 for suppressor and tax stamp, which will bring the total build cost to around $2000, but have one kick-ass setup

You said it was your first lower that you assembled, right?

How hard is it to assemble everything? I'm assuming there are instructions on how to put everything together correctly? I want to go that route just to save money, as long as I can get thing put together myself. :big grin:

Yea, I ordered a RRA kit and hit was everything you see here in a zip lock bag, so I did need a picture and guide to figure out what was what.

Here's the step by step instructions on how to do it.

The hardest thing was punching the bolt catch roll pin in, I tried the vise grip push in method first and scraped the lower a bit, so then I got a punch and punched it in that way. The only thing to watch is the trigger guard roll pin, if your not careful you can break off the ear if you don't block the underneath.

I've been talking to them a bit about getting a lower custom engraved for myself, I've seen a few custom's done by them from batman logo to the resident evil umbrella corp logo, I'm looking to have a family crest put on mine when I start my build in a couple months. My friend has an AR with the punisher logo its a fun gun and a good quality lower, I personally just want a more unique lower.

I don't know much about Spikes customer work, but they were really nice to talk too. Orion Arms is very well know with custom engraving... check these out.

There is not enough good to be said about Spike. I talk to him at almost every gun show down here and he flat out loves his work and job. You can't touch his prices, and his customer service is top notch.

At our shows, he sells his lowers for $100, complete rifles in dang near any configuration for $850, and includes an awesome case.

What I can;t wait for is his custom 22 SBR build he is making, which jsut looks totally kickass (ar15 SBR built to shoot 22)
