$550 plus tax from Dunham's, It's the only one they have had in for three months. Lucky me. It's an AMD-65, Nodak. :wiggle:

I've always wondered why the vfg on ak's are angled like that. It looks like it would be awkward to shoot.

  8. It looks like they just used the pistol grip and flipped it. That saved them from having to make a separate part for the VFG.

when firing in full auto it gives a much better grip on the gun, helping to pull it towards you and down

    The US ;)

It's a Hungarian AMD-65 and a nice one too! I dig those wood grips, they good looking. $550 was a good price, all things considering.

Ya I don't like the plastic stock. It came that way. I have the original wooden stock and will switch in it when I'm really bored one of these days.

It's Hungarian and the receiver was made by Nodak. They are out of Minnesota.

 Do you guys think its possible to remove that folding stock and add a solid wood stock? I'm unsure.

You're going to need a new trunnion. This will require drilling out the existing rivets and riveting in a new rear trunnion.

I wish there was like a clip on attachment so I could have a cheek rest for the wire stock...
