pretty much stock for now, planning new base, rings, and scope.
groups well enough to kill coyotes, but not nearly good enough for my tastes. but i think i got a deal on it, $559 with the mediocre scope that retails for $89.

oh, and i learned that you should never trust someone who claims a rifle is bore sighted. the elevation was on, but the windage was about a foot off.

.223rem. I plan on keeping the hides, and I hear .308 kinda tears them up. Once I save the money I plan on building either a 700 in .308 or a AR10.

cool. I'm not really interested in shooting anything other than targets, so I really want to build a long range tactical .308

ugh.......so i pulled the scope off because i was having some accuracy problems, and the front scope base is loose when the screws are tightened to a reasonable torque.

    ugh....

    20 in/lbs

it looks like the holes in the front mount are over-bored, they are too deep and the screws cant hold it tight.

I tried to go call some coyotes this past weekend. Ended up killing three hogs before we got started.
