Alright, so not new, but new to me. This is my first bike... it's a '75 Honda CB 750 Super Sport. It runs great, is pretty clean for it's age, and I got it for $680 on eBay a few weeks ago, so not a bad price for a starter bike I don't think. It's plenty fast, although it weighs a bit much.

I've been working on my bike a ton this past couple weeks, trying to get it all cleaned up and ready for riding this weekend. I've replaced the air filter, oil and oil filter, got a new front tire for it, repaired some leaks in the gas tank and Kreemed it (which is why it's in primer), sanded and primered the body panels (side covers were just black plastic before), primered the rear fender so it'd match the tank and sides, lubricated the throttle assembly (it has quad carbs) and cleaned and inspected the plugs. I also had to fix the petcock beacuse someone had it apart before and put it together upside down.

I'm not sure what color the bike will be (suggestions are welcome) but I was thinking burnt orange or olive green metallic (that 70's color) would be cool. Black or white, or some sweet shade of blue are also hanging around in my mind.

    Here are pics.

congrats... did you have a thread here about whether you should buy that or not? I've seen a picture of that bike recently and can't remember why.

I ended up winning a tank on eBay this weekend. Here's a photochop of what it'll look like when I get it put on. I'm having a buddy of mine who paints cars do the rear fender and the little covers under the seat.

I don't. :( I wish I would have taken some. I was too excited when I got it and just started working on it right away from day 1. I've cleaned it up a lot since I first got it... I'm waiting for my tank now, as well as two new throttle cables (as you notice I've only got the "pull" cable and no "push" cable - so the throttle doesn't close all the way when I let off the gas).

the granddaddy sportbike... i love those pups.

you need a set of superbike bars to really set it off, unless you like the upright seating position.

I've gone back and forth with the idea of changing the bars. I still might. I dunno.

Unless they make a rear set for the bike I would leave it alone. It sucks balls to have a low handle bar with out you feet moved back when riding. I had a low set on my buell with out the rear set and it was not a enjoyable ride.
