A coworker and friend (we talk car stuff all day long) just traded in his 993TT for a new RS6. Here's a few quick snaps from this afternoon -- don't expect great photography, we only had a few minutes before a meeting:

That's the owner of the car:

    My driving impressions:
Overall the car is a blast to drive, lots of low RPM torque. Seats and overall interior is a class above my M5. Steering is a bit light for my tastes, but still have good road feel. Mash the gas and the car accellerates HARD. Brakes are awesome too. Exhaust note is just right with spine-tingling burbles on deacceleration. Car feels like it has much stronger accelleration than the M5 at least at low speeds. The only thing I didn't like is: 1) automatic takes away some fun 2) when you mash the gas, there is still a split second delay as the car auto needs to find the right gear. Note: this is in full auto mode, I didn't get a chance to try the paddle shift.

and a few new pics of my car:

I think I've seen you around the bay area since there's not that many M5's...I see a lot of silver/grey ones, but not your color.

Oh and I spot Cisco buildings there..heh. I did a couple of consulting jobs there. :bigthumb:

thanks, but I wish I took it with the car a little closer. Actually that's a crop which is why the car isn't as clear. but at least you get the "look" i was going for.

does the audi have a true sequential tranny like ferrari and BMW? or is it just a triptronic type thing with paddles?

im not too up to date with audi's
