    Hi All

Just thought i'd share some pics of my brother Series IV RX7 Turbo that i detailed the other day... He bought it about 2 days before i did this... there are before and after pictures, so you can compare the results.

    I used:

    Armour-All Carwash
    Meguiars Quick Clay (Clay bar)
    Meguiars Swirl Remover
    Meguiars NXT Tech Wax

    The results speak for themselves!

There you go... uploaded them to the OT Uploader instead of a website, so they should work now :)

Let me know what you think

    Excellent! [IMG]

I've used #80 and NXT with excellent results as well (btw, #80 is a bit more aggressive than #9 Swirl Remover). Pretty much any good swirl remover and NXT is going to look pretty good.

Did you do everything by hand?

Yeah, everything was done by hand... i don't really trust/like rotary/orbital buffers for some reason... i guess that every time i've seen them used, they seem to leave swirl marks etc, so i'd prefer to do it all by hand (even if it takes a few hours)

Jay-I just nabbed the good ones on OT and any other good ones people use. You can use those smilies on Autopia but just remember their forum rules because many of my smilies are pretty nasty. ;)

Incognito-the others are right. A Porter Cable polisher is very safe for paint. You can polish the paint more deeply and evenly with a PC. Since it is a DA polisher, it mimics the movement of your hand, albiet at a much higher speed. Combined with modern foam buffing pads, they do an amazing job. Obviously, because of their design, they won't remove the serious defects a rotary will but they also won't burn paint or leave rotary swirls if used carelessly or without proper training.
