Nice looking car. I thought only the 10th anniversary's came with the low-deck spoiler? Did you add that on?

you mean 99+, there were no firehawks in 98.

and I doubt you could, since the cheapest I've ever heard of an LS1 hawk going for is 18K

Nope, they were an option on the '02's, straight from SLP with it, can't remember the cost off hand though.

    Not an LS1... LT1's have depreciated a bit, here's a '95 on autotrader:
    http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/vdetail.jtmpl?car_id=144811116&dealer_id=&car_year=1995&make=PONT&distance=25&max_price=&model=UNAVAIL&end_year=1995&advcd_on=n&min_price=&address=78759&search_type=used&advanced=n&start_year=1995&color=&cardist=0

Providing it's clean, it's a good price at just over $10k... most in that range are 93-94's.

LT1's aren't bad... their peak torque comes in at a much lower RPM than the LS1, and they are coming into their own as far as aftermarket is concerned... their are plenty of fast LT1's out there, to include a few offtopic members.

Get an LT1 cheap and build it into an LT4, or even a stroker LT4

    :)

    On the course.
The only thing I don't like about the firehawks is the rear spoiler..I dunno why but its just strange looking to me. I prefer the ones they put on the regular firebirds..the ones that are a bit taller and you can see under..

That spoiler was standard on the 10th's, and optional on the '02's. If you didn't purchase the spoiler, you got the standard TA or Formula one. Personally I like it, much more low profile.

Same here. The spoiler was one of the items that I totally loved about the 10th anniversary hawk. It helped me make my decision in my purchase.

Particularly with the aluminum 383 and competition package. Unfortunately, they don't come up for sale very often (I've seen two on ebay, and heard of one sold at auction... over the last 2-3 years or so).
