I did a favor for a friend and spent from 2:00 - 6:00 hammering out his considerable swirl marks. I hit it with two passes of Meguiar's Swirl Remover applied with a random orbital, and then hand-applied a coat of S100.

The color is Daytona Violet. :big grin:

The result was pretty spectacular, especially given the somewhat disgraceful condition of the paint prior to today:

Another friend stopped by with his stunning E30 M3:

AND..my friend/coworker Dan got his car back, with a new 3.46 diff running 60% lockup. Needless to say, he was quite happy:

Hope everyone had a great weekend as well. :bigthumb:

Looks good Chris. If it makes you feel any better I spent from 10am to 3pm detailing my sisters E34 525i. I forgot how big the E34's are. After doing that car I'm sure as hell glad I have a smaller coupe. :)

    Pics are great! Good job!

John's E30 M3 is so beautifully maintained that it just makes you ache with yearning for one when you are near it. I love those fat fenders. :wtc: :big grin:

I have never seen RC's like that before! They have "MOTORSPORT" written around the BBS center cap, and are finished in an off-white, slightly yellowish tint that the owner was saying was the OEM color. They are also forged...but I though all of the RC line was forged. :dunno:

Dan only lets loose every other GTG. But when he does, it's a spectacle. I live across the street from the town Fire Chief, but even he says that once anyone leaves our side road and hits the main street they have a license to ill. Well see how long that credo lasts once an overly enthusiastic dipshit takes out a mailbox. :big grin:

Ah. Looks remarkably similar to a BimmerForums member's car. Daytona seems to be a rare enough color but they both have RC's as well.
