Nothing special... did it at the request of wife's friend. For a small donation to the "Girth needs a new lens" fund, of course. :o

Just set the camera on 'P' mode and let it fly all day. Didn't feel like messing w/ shit. :dunno:

Surprisingly short, about an hour. Then they had lunch at a nice and oddly located restaurant on the ship channel. Overall, it was 3 1/2 hours.

    is this an excuse?

photos are fine except for the #6, the processing and angle really sucks ass.

    Not at all!

I hate catholic churches and they way they light them, dim and restircted. Every wedding I've shot in one I've tried using manual mode and auto iso, and every time I've had a hard time finding the right exposure for the shots I wanted and ended up fighting the camera. I'm more comfotable with the P mode now, now that I have a lot better understanding of what it does and why it does it. I just didn't want to fight my camera all day yesterday, just because it wasn't a slow catholic wedding, but because everything moved at a decently fast pace. And as for 6, I like it that crop but hate the original. To each their own I guess. Overall I'm happy with them and they loved the pics... which ultimately, that's all that matters to me.

I don't care that you used P, its just that everyone seems to say that they "just used p", "pictures are straight out of camera" or that "i havent finished adjusting them yet". :dunno:

anyway my only criticisms of your photos would be:

5: foreground (girl / altar) look very grey and seem to have a glow around them like they have been lifted from the shadows too much after the shot.

6: similar to 5, but also is very obscured by the lectern, and it looks like you've added a vignette or used a flash which only seems to make the light on the blank wall look overpowering.

    18: blurry kid in front.

    otherwise I quite like them

I have it on aut-ISO. most of the church shots are around 3200 ISO. It controlled it pretty well. Might try it at the wedding in 2 weeks... as much as I would love to fight my camera, I just know I'll be more comfy just pointing and shooting. The fun shots I can always change to manual like I usually use. :o
