Try to get some of the Drill Instructors.... as for some of us it wasn't too long ago that we graduated and might know some.

I fucking hated how the DI's would flip shit if they saw a space between your elbow and side, yet their arms always bowed out.

Black is the Senior Drill Instructor belt.

The green ones are Duty Belts that all non-senior drill instructors wear (J-belts, bulldogs, killhats, blah blah blah)

What's funny is seeing 90 emo recruits after they piss off their Senior and he cuts up his belt into 90 pieces and makes each of them carry a piece of it around in their pockets. Recruits take that emotional shit in boot camp like women. I saw some dudes crying because the squad leaders were getting smoked on the QD and made us all watch.

correct me if im wrong here fellow jarheads...but i thought when wearing the service sweater, rank insignia is worn on the collar of the long sleave shirt underneath (sry i forgot the name of that uniform..hah) it appears as though they have it on their shoulders on a flap like thing. on the sweater i was issued...i dont have those flaps.

    what the fuck?!

Alpha cover plus cammies = what the blue fucking hell?

Must be something new. We wore our chevrons on our collars (longsleeve shirt) under our sweaters (no gay flaps).

    edit: for clarification, MCRDPI ftw.
sand fleas + humidity is tougher than beach weather + seeing airplanes all day.

We had that at my graduation too. I don't remember what it was for though. Obviously the guide wore them, but only for practice. Maybe it was for getting used to being on their head or something. I really have no clue.

The guides do it for grad practice...they are running because every time you screw up they make you start over and you have to run back to the staging area. It sucked!
