So, I figured I would at least ask if you guys had any suggestions.

I guess right now I am trying to focus on finding one or two (we have a LONG aisle) processional songs. We don't really like the traditional classic songs, but we are having a hard time coming up with something 'interesting' for us, but that also wont offend guests. Right now now the bridal party will walk down to "Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness" - Smashing Pumpkins and I would walk down to "Invincible" - Muse.

    Thoughts? Suggestions? :noes:

not to take away from the special details of your day....but my husband and i spent hours, days, weeks picking out all the entrance songs, the exit songs, etc for our wedding....and i didnt even remember hearing them. i know they were playing, but it was such a not important detail of that day that we basically ignored it.

so really, just pick something and dont stress about it. if you two like those songs, use them. most likely the guests will be paying more attention to you walking down the aisle or looking to see if your groom is tearing up when he sees you to be paying attention to the background music.

    .

Other than picking the first dance, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, etc. I could give a shit less is a "unique" song plays for the processional. As the bride you're not even going to hear it or really notice, and it most likely wont be mind-blowing, unless it's like this:

Thank you ^_^, I kinda hope someone might be a fan.

Thats a really pretty song, but I think my fiance would kill me if I suggested showtunes. I might bring it up with him, just to see tho.

I was just at a wedding over the weekend and someone sang One Hand One Heart and it was fantastic. Not show tune-y at all. Plus I love that song so  I'm bias.

I will have metal playing upon my entrance. It's the music to my soul.

Sonic Syndicate - Denied comes to mind.

Yeah...I remember this being really difficult.

We ended up going with traditional classic songs and for our song we picked a duet spanish song by Christina Aguilera and another spanish singer

I don't know if I can link this but go to "ask metafilter" and search wedding songs. You will get literally dozens of threads with hundreds if not thousands of suggestions from conventional to the unique. You can't post there unless you pay some money to become a member and wait a week. It's a really good community though.

It's kinda hard NOT to be cliche when it comes to weddings, isn't it?

Yeah, I'll Be by Edwin McCain is the closest thing we have to a song. We "think" its what was playing during our first kiss. But he thinks its to 'sappy'.

Actually, I like this version of the song I mentioned better:

    [y]2nNsOWD0y_A[/y]

And that's just because I think she's hot as fuck and would fuck her six ways from sunday.
