Picking up my 700 ADL today. $385 plus tax in 30-06.

I was wanting to know if you guys have dealt with those rock mounts that attach to slin swivel studs.
Are they a good tight fit or are they loose?
Or should I go with some other type of bipod?

Is it easy to remove the sights if I dont want them on there, and want the scope closer to the barrel?

Anyone make some pretty good raised or lowered scope mounts for a 700?

Also suggest me a good scope that doesnt cost more than $200. Maybe $225 tops. I am looking into the Bushnell elite series. I dont know if I want around 3-9 or if I want more 6-24

Im trying to turn it into a good long range rifle.
Im pretty much open to any suggestions.

Also, any techniques for making the trigger lighter if Im not happy with it, like polishing?

I would recommend a 6-9. I have a 6-9 Leopold on mine and it is plenty. The furthest I shoot is about 200 yards and I think it works fine. 6-24 would probably be fine. I guess it's preference.

i'd reccomend 6-24 if you'll be shooting long range with it.
