We live in an apartment complex in which our neighbors and friends 2 floors down have internet with a wireless linksys router. We asked if they mined if we used their wireless signal until we got around to getting our highspeed hooked up. However I can only get 1 bar sometimes depending where im at inour apartment. We have our wireless linksys router laying around in which I was wondering if there is anyway that it can pick up their signal and enhance/strengthen it for us to use for the time being?

If the router supports the same version ie. A and/or B and or G, as your friends wireless it should work:bigthumb:

How would I go about setting it up? Set it as an acess point rather than a gateway? Ill have to search up on linksys's site.

Why spend an extra 40 dollars a month for internet when Both my friends and I can have internet for 20 dollars a month? And its free to setup. Doesnt seem to make since why I would want to pay for it.
